Global promotion roadshows and overseas exhibition tours of the China-ASEAN Expo have been scheduled to begin in 2023, officials of the CAEXPO Secretariat announced on Jan 6.

2023 marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of CAEXPO and the ASEAN-China bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership.

The CAEXPO Secretariat will team up with co-organizers and business associations in ASEAN countries to hold promotion roadshows in the first quarter of 2023 in the ASEAN and RCEP countries of Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.

Overseas exhibition tours will take place in Singapore, Laos and Malaysia in March, May and June this year, focusing on major cooperation sectors such as mechanical and electrical products, light industrial technology, daily chemical supplies, new energy products, textile and clothing, building materials, cultural tourism, health care, as well as agricultural technology.

Events such as promotional fairs, industrial matchmaking events and on-site tours of Chinese enterprises in ASEAN countries will be arranged for Chinese enterprises to learn more about latest market information in ASEAN countries as well as local service, trade and investment guides.

The events are also expected to help Chinese enterprises explore overseas markets in the post-pandemic era and boost regional economic cooperation.

The 20th CAEXPO is set to be held in September 2023 and Wei Zhaohui, secretary-general of the CAEXPO Secretariat, said that this year's event will promote the upgrade and growth of the CAEXPO.
