1月16日，“世界市长对话·南宁”活动在南宁开幕，来自中国、柬埔寨、印度尼西亚、老挝、马来西亚、缅甸、泰国、越南等8个国家12个城市市长或市长代表齐聚邕城，通过深入对话交流，为推动构建更为紧密的中国—东盟命运共同体开拓思路、贡献智慧。

On January 16, the "Global Mayors Dialogue · Nanning" kicked off in Nanning. Mayors or representatives of mayors from 12 cities across 8 countries including China, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam gathered in Nanning to explore new ideas and contribute wisdom for promoting the construction of a closer China-ASEAN community of a shared future through in-depth dialogues and communication.

自治区党委常委、宣传部部长陈奕君出席活动。自治区党委常委、南宁市委书记农生文，老挝万象市市长阿萨庞通·西潘敦，越南谅山市委副书记、人民委员会主席阮文幸分别致辞。自治区副主席廖品琥，国务院新闻办公室国际传播局副局长温革，越南、柬埔寨、泰国、老挝、缅甸、马来西亚驻南宁总领事馆官员等出席。

Chen Yijun, the Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangxi Committee and the Minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Guangxi Committee, attended the event. Nong Shengwen, the Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangxi Committee and the Secretary of the CPC Nanning Committee, H.E. Athsaphangthong Siphandone, the Governor of Vientiane, Laos, and Nguyen Van Hanh, the Deputy Secretary of the Lang Son City Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son City, Vietnam, delivered speeches respectively. Liao Pinhu, the Vice Chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Wen Ge, the Deputy Director of the International Communication Bureau of the State Council Information Office of China, and officials from the consulates general of Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, and Malaysia in Nanning were also present at the event.

农生文在致辞中表示，作为中国—东盟博览会永久举办地，近年来，南宁紧紧围绕国家赋予建设面向东盟开放合作的国际化大都市新定位，搭建起中国—东盟交流交往的重要桥梁纽带，实现了经贸、科技、人文等领域的双向奔赴。南宁市愿与各方携起手来，进一步深化地方友好交往、互联互通建设、开放平台建设、跨境产业合作和人文交流互鉴，充分发挥“南宁渠道”作用，推动中国—东盟自贸区3.0版建设和高质量共建“一带一路”中实现互促共进、共兴共荣。

Nong Shengwen stated in his speech that as the permanent venue for the China-ASEAN Expo, in recent years, Nanning has closely centered around the new national positioning of building an international metropolis aimed at opening up and cooperating with ASEAN, establishing an important bridge and link for China-ASEAN exchanges and interactions, and achieving two-way efforts in the fields of economy and trade, technology, and humanities. Nanning is more than willing to join hands with all parties to further deepen local friendly exchanges, connectivity building, open platform development, cross-border industrial cooperation, and mutual learning in humanities, fully play the role of the "Nanning Channel", promote the construction of CAFTA 3.0 and achieve mutual promotion and progress in the high-quality co-construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.

在“世界市长对话·南宁”主活动中，来自中国南宁市、老挝万象市、缅甸仰光市、泰国素叻他尼府、马来西亚吉打州、越南芒街市、柬埔寨暹粒市、印度尼西亚马塔兰市的市长或市长代表，共同探讨“共建中国—东盟友好家园：城市开放与合作”的重要议题，为开拓全球城市治理的新路径，描绘区域可持续发展新蓝图献计献策。

In the main event of the "Global Mayors Dialogue · Nanning", mayors or mayor representatives from Nanning City in China, Vientiane City in Laos, Yangon City in Myanmar, Surat Thani Province in Thailand, Kedah State in Malaysia, Mong Cai City in Vietnam, Siem Reap City in Cambodia, and Mataram City in Indonesia gathered together to discuss the important topic of "Building a China-ASEAN Community of Friendship: Urban Openness and Cooperation", offering suggestions and insights to explore new paths for global urban governance and to outline a new blueprint for regional sustainable development.

南宁市市长侯刚分享了南宁市在城市开放与经济合作、人文交流与文化交融、城市治理经验等方面的探索和实践。他说，南宁市通过不断做大做强开放平台，推动与东盟国家基础设施“硬联通”、规则标准“软联通”、人文交流“心联通”，吸引越来越多东盟乃至世界各地的企业、项目落地南宁，为谱写更为紧密的中国—东盟命运共同体注入新动力。侯刚还以南宁城市水系治理实践为案例介绍了南宁在城市治理方面的经验，以及南宁如何通过一系列教育、文化、体育交流活动，促进与东盟国家人文交流与文化交融。

The Mayor of Nanning, Hou Gang, shared Nanning's explorations and practices in urban openness and economic cooperation, people-to-people exchange and cultural integration, and urban governance experience, stating that Nanning is continuously strengthening its opening platform, promoting "hard connectivity" in infrastructure, "soft connectivity" in rules and standards, and "heart connectivity" in people-to-people exchange with ASEAN countries, attracting more and more enterprises and projects from ASEAN and around the world to settle in Nanning, injecting new momentum into the establishment of a closer China-ASEAN community of a shared future. Hou Gang also introduced Nanning's experiences in urban governance through the case of urban water system management, as well as how Nanning promotes people-to-people exchange and cultural integration with ASEAN countries through a series of educational, cultural, and sports exchange activities.

在主活动上，与会各国城市代表联合发布了《南宁倡议》，倡议提出，深化城市友好交往，为推动构建更为紧密的中国—东盟命运共同体贡献力量；深化城市经贸合作，让发展成果更好惠及中国和东盟各国人民；深化城市民心交融，为共建中国—东盟和平家园、安宁家园、繁荣家园、美丽家园和友好家园作出积极努力。

At the main event, city representatives from participating countries jointly issued the "Nanning Initiative" which advocates for deepening friendly exchanges between cities to contribute to building a closer China-ASEAN community of a shared future; deepening economic and trade cooperation between cities so that development achievements can better benefit the people of both China and ASEAN countries; and deepening the emotional bonds of people between cities to make vigorous efforts towards jointly building a peaceful, safe, prosperous, beautiful, and friendly home for China and ASEAN.

活动期间，南宁市和缅甸仰光市签署2025—2026年度友好交流计划备忘录，举行重大交流合作项目集中签约仪式，推动经贸、物流运输、教育、旅游等14个项目实现签约，对外合作投资超33亿元人民币。

During the event, Nanning and Yangon, Myanmar signed a memorandum of the friendship and exchange plan for 2025-2026, held a signing ceremony for major exchange and cooperation projects, promoted the signing of 14 projects covering fields such as economy and trade, logistics and transportation, education, and tourism, and achieved an investment of over 3.3 billion yuan for foreign cooperation.
