Since the entry into force of the RCEP Agreement on Jan 1, 2022, Nanning saw a significant improvement in the volume and quality of its imports and exports. In 2022, the total value of foreign trade import and export of Nanning exceeded 150 billion yuan, reaching 151.01 billion yuan, an increase of 22.9% over 2021, among which, exports reached 74.27 billion yuan, an increase of 27.6%; imports 76.74 billion yuan, an increase of 18.6%.

Private enterprises have become the main foreign trade entities in Nanning. In 2022, the volume of import and export of private enterprises in Nanning reached 72.03 billion yuan, an increase of 45.2%, giving a strong impetus into the rapid growth of Nanning's foreign trade.

The Nanning has also seen expanded import and export of its special agricultural products. In 2022, the value of exported certain fruits and raw silk amounted to 75.279 million yuan and 150 million yuan respectively, with a growth rate of over 40%. The products sell well in ASEAN, the EU, North America and other countries and regions.
