Located in the heart of Vientiane, Patuxay Park is one of Laos’ most frequent tourist destinations. Patched with expansive gardens and snakelike walkways, the Park serves as an ideal location for casual strolls and romantic outings. The biggest attraction at the park, however, is the Patuai War Monument that occupies a central position here. The massive monument was built in honor of all those who laid down their lives in the war of independence, and is regarded as one of the best places to see in Laos.
