Nestled by the Nam Song river, the Tham Chang Cave is among the most beautiful places to visit in Laos. The caves served as an important military location in the 19th century, when the Vietnamese army used it as a bunker during the war against Chinese invaders. Now, it is a thriving tourist hotspot with a plethora of adventure opportunities. The cave is ripe for trekking and hiking, with steep climbs leading into its hidden interiors. Tham Chang is also home to two ‘secret’ blue lagoons, promising some fantastic natural views.
