The Pinglu Canal’s sensing network and data transmission network have recently been fully completed, providing robust technological support for the canal’s scheduled opening to navigation and commencement of operations in September, according to the Pinglu Canal Group.

The canal’s construction and management team is currently conducting integrated commissioning of equipment associated with the sensing network, data transmission network, and command and dispatch center. Meanwhile, the team is working to connect and integrate data across several operational systems, including the smart maintenance system, smart dispatch system, integrated platform for river and sea of Guangxi, and digital twin system. These efforts are designed to make full use of the networks’ data monitoring and data transmission capabilities and ensure the safe and reliable operation of the canal once it opens to navigation.
