On April 2, the groundbreaking ceremony for the AI Innovation Center at Nanning International Science and Technology Industrial City took place in the Rongmo Lake Area of Qingxiu District, marking the official start of significant construction for the industrial city. This initiative is set to elevate Nanning’s technological innovation and industrial development to new heights. Nong Shengwen, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangxi Committee and Secretary of the CPC Nanning Municipal Committee, attended the event and announced the project’s commencement. Mayor Hou Gang was also present, along with Xu Tiancai, Chairman of Singapore’s Yuxin International Group, and Gu Baohua, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Nanning Municipal Committee and Secretary of the CPC Qingxiu District Committee, who each delivered speeches.

The project of Nanning International Science and Technology Industrial City is a collaborative effort between Singapore’s Yuxin International Group and Nanning Municipal People's Government. Spanning a planned area of 71.46 square kilometers, the project focuses on three core industries, namely artificial intelligence, new energy applications, and new health, while also supporting sectors such as technology finance, cultural tourism, and new materials. Its goal is to create a world-class, industry-integrated hub for science and technology, positioning itself as an innovative demonstration zone for RCEP industrial cooperation and a benchmark for industrial collaboration between China and Singapore.
